There is no account and no server. Nothing here is a password and nothing is checked: your designation, your archive and your net live in this browser profile, on this machine. Signing in on another device means restoring a backup rather than proving who you are — which is why the key below says Transfer.
Letters and numbers. Anything else folds into the net id.
Skipping this is allowed and costs nothing today — the board works unnamed. It costs something later: an unnamed operator publishes to a net with no designation on it.
